Ukraine’s military intelligence agency reported that at least 30 North Korean soldiers were either killed or injured while fighting for Russia in the Kursk region. North Korean troops suffered heavy losses in battles with Ukrainian soldiers over the weekend according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He confirmed that Russia was using North Korean troops in large numbers for the first time in Kursk. These are the first reported casualties since Ukraine and the US accused North Korea of sending troops to support Russia in the war.
